PURPLE is a four-piece band from Vienna that approaches music as a space where sound, image and attitude intersect. Their visual language is shaped by sunglasses, mullets and strong silhouettes, paired with vivid colors and a deliberate sense of physical presence. While references to the 1990s are evident, the aesthetic remains forward-looking. 

Musically, PURPLE operates within the realm of alternative art pop, informed by rock energy and driven by electronic production tools. Guitars, bass and drums coexist with samples, synthesizers and carefully crafted arrangements. The result is a sound that feels immediate and physical, yet open to tension, texture and experimentation. Influences from British punk, pop avant-garde and contemporary Austrian artists merge into a distinct and personal expression. 

In 2025, the band placed fourth in the final of the Planet Festival Tour and has since received regular airplay on FM4. Live performances have taken PURPLE through Vienna, across Austria and, for the first time, to Germany. 

With their upcoming EP SOBER, set for release in spring 2026, PURPLE sharpens their artistic vision and continues to expand their unmistakable universe.
