REVEREND STOMP from Vienna will release a new album entitled “MESCALERO RANGER” (LP, 12-inch) in late 2025 / early 2026 on the Viennese label “Las Vegas Records”. After their first vinyl release in 2022 (“MOKARA”, LP, 12-inch), they released a 4-track EP (“SALAYA”, 10-inch) in 2024 and established the genre “SWAMP SURF” for themselves - a mixture of 50s swamp blues with 60s surf and garage rock. The four musicians return to the studio and venture thematically from the swamp to the hot Californian valley: “MESCALERO RANGER” is 10 songs recorded as live takes and mostly analog to preserve the dynamics and honesty that give the music its genre-standard individual character and groove. In collaboration with the Dornbirn-based NAUTILUS STUDIOS, a session was created in which a large part of the songs were written directly in the studio. Their new sound delivers exactly what you can expect from the live shows: an authentic sound, without a safety net, without a double bottom, pure momentum - simply Reverend Stomp
