36 degrees, chirping crickets, and the perfect soundtrack: “Mescalero Ranger,” the second album from Vienna/Übersee garage rock band Reverend Stomp. Even though it's winter, these eleven songs are already warming ears, hearts, and dancing feet. The band calls their style “swamp surf”: an explosive mixture of blues, desert sound, surf rock, and uncompromising rock ‘n’ roll—carried by Christoph Mooser's raw voice. A sound that is as timeless as it is powerful, reminiscent of Quentin Tarantino's soundtracks. The songs were recorded live at Nautilus Studio in Dornbirn – raw, authentic, and without any double meanings. And that's exactly what you can expect from a Reverend Stomp live show.

With the focus single of the same name, “Mescalero Ranger,” the four musicians will compete on February 20 on the ORF show “Vienna Calling” for a spot in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Then Reverend Stomp will need all your thumbs crossed and your votes.
